The campaign, which started together with the tagline “Host students and make tax-free money”, encourages Dublin homeowners to allow out spare spots as digs to students by marketing the available tax incentives. Under legislation, homeowners don’t need to pay tax on rental income earned by digs unless it exceeds a yearly cap of $12,000, according to UCD Students’ marriage.
